RelMo Version 5.2 Released (Posted
14.11.03) We've decided to release an
interim version far earlier than usual. Although only a month since the
release of version 5, users have specifically requested a number of new
features.
RelMo 5.2 now has
the ability to use three point codes during surveying. These are based on
the existing two point codes, but with the ability to define the width of the code
by using a third surveyed point. This means, for example, that you could
create a complex line style of a vehicle and set its properties so that it is a
three point style. During surveying you would simply survey the front
nearside, rear nearside and anywhere along the offside to generate the three
survey points. As RelMo imports the survey file, the car will
automatically be generated so that it stretches to fit between the front and
rear survey points and also so that it stretches to the width defined by the
third point.
Example codes,
using the new 2 and 3 point definitions will be posted to this site shortly.
The Download
Utility has been upgraded so that it now downloads and converts survey files
from Sokkia instruments. Both SDR33 and SDR20 format are included.
The Download Utility will automatically recognise which format is in use.
We've also taken
the opportunity to fix a couple of minor bugs that crept into the version 5
release.
You can download
the latest version now.

RelMo Version 5 Released (Posted
01.10.03) RelMo version 5 was released
today, 1st October 2003. Version 5 represents a giant leap forward in a
number of different respects.
The plan drawing features in particular are
greatly improved, with support now for multiple printed pages all at different
scales, sizes, layouts and even different printers if required. For
example you might choose to have your main page on an A1 sheet, but keep an A4
version for a brief overview. Also supported are multiple plots on the
same page, as well as the facility to embed 3D views and external objects on the
printed page.
New CAD tools and analysis tools are also
included in this release.
For a more in-depth summary of the features in
this release, please read the
Version 5 summary.
Also available with this release is a
demonstration version which may be downloaded from this site. With a
few minor exceptions, this version is functionally identical to the full
version.
Existing users will receive the new version over
the next few weeks. If you have not received your copy by the end of
October 2003, please contact
Jane
Bond at our Birdlip office.

RelMo Version 4.8
RelMo 4.8 was released in June 2003 as part of
the latest release of the Collision Suite Package. This includes many of
the features planned for Version 5, as well as updating the other collision
suite components.
As part of this release we changed the security
system, from our older software protection system to a new and more flexible
hardware key system. For
Version 5 should be released later this year and
will include an all new method of printing scale plans.

RelMo Version 5 Update (Posted 29.01.03)
RelMo version 5 is planned for release in the 3rd
quarter of 2003. An interim version may be made available before this time so
that users can take advantage of the new features.
Development is progressing well and on schedule.
New features include additional analysis tools, such as visibility plots and
slope graphs, enhanced text display tools, and a new scale plan plotting engine.
3D views have been speeded up considerably in
both RelMo Design and in the RelMo3 viewer by redesigning the routines used to
render individual objects onto screen. We have found a 2 - 4 times increase in
frame per second time dependent upon what features are being used.
These features are already in beta test with
selected users and feedback so far is very positive.

development progresses.
